Aberffraw and Rhosneigr Holiday Cottages
Who can resist the call of the sea? Whatever the weather it is an incredible sight to behold and with 125 miles of stunning Anglesey coastline you will never be far from the sound of the waves.
Rhosneigr and Aberffraw sit on the Western coast of Anglesey – where the coastline varies from rugged shoreline to long stretches of magnificent sandy beaches. For watersports enthusiasts this is the area to head for. It is a sheer joy to explore the coastline by kayak, in and out of coves that walkers just cannot access. Why not join a kayaking tour and enjoy learning from those with local knowledge. Don your wetsuits ready to tack across the bay on windsurfers or find your balance on a paddle board – fun for everyone. Watch out for the kitesurfers performing incredible stunts in ideal conditions.
In between Rhosneigr and Aberffraw you can explore Porth Trecastell, Porth Nobla and Porth Tyn Tywyn. These sandy bays are sheltered from the elements and within easy walking distance from the Anglesey Coastal Path and the Neolithical burial chamber, Barclodiad y Gawres.
Park your car in Aberffraw and wander along the River Ffraw to one of the most magnificent beaches on Anglesey. With incredible views of the Llyn Peninsular and the Snowdonia mountains this is one place that gazing out to sea is recommended. Feel your stresses evaporate as your toes sink into the sand and you inhale the wonderful salty air.
Newborough Beach and the fascinating Llanddwyn Island are a quick drive away. Miles of sandy beaches and views to write home about. Cross over to Llanddwyn Island and feel the magic of our patron saint of lovers, Santes Dwynwen. Explore the old lighthouse cottages and learn about the history of the island.
For the petrol heads and motor racing lovers pop along to Trac Môn / Anglesey Circuit a complete contrast to the peace and quiet of the shoreline but one that just cannot be missed. A truly awe inspiring experience – an adrenalin rush for spectators and racers alike. You might even see them filming Channel Five’s Fifth Gear!
